Although he is new to the art scene, Math-You Namie's loud, bright, bold paintings are making an impact on New York. Math-You's paintings resonate strongly with distinct collectors in diverse environments. He works with acrylics and oils, and his technique is primarily figurative. The palette he uses is a mixture of colors that complement as well as contrast each other for an overall compelling approach to color theory. While relating to popular culture through image, his use of high-detail fabric gives the work both a stunning and familiar visual experience. As a result, his work portrays a sense of movement, depth, and a sense of calmness.
A recent graduate of Hunter College and originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Math-You currently resides in New York City. Math-You is available for private commission and portraiture.
