Since the 1990's, Nichole DeMent has devoted serious study to both analog and digital photography disciplines. Combining her mastery of the photographic medium with an interest in psychology, she creates haunting works that are explorations into human nature.
Dement has held teaching positions at regional institutions such as Pacific Lutheran University and the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle. She has exhibited, published, and has been reviwed regionally. DeMent's artwork can be found in private collections internationally. She is the co-owner of Rock|DeMent Visual Art Space in Pioneer Square, and is the cuurent Gallery Director of ArtsWest Gallery in West Seattle.
